Malaysia’s King Al-Sultan Abdullah has expressed hope that Anwar Ibrahim will be the last prime minister he appoints.
“We hope that the 10th prime minister will be the last for us before we leave to return to Pahang Darul Makmur,” Al-Sultan Abdullah said at the opening ceremony of the 15th Malaysian parliament for the second period in Kuala Lumpur, Monday, 13 February 2023 .
Al-Sultan Abdullah has been King of Malaysia since January 31 2019 and his term of office ends January 30 2024. He has installed four prime ministers, namely Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Ismail Sabri Yaakob, and the 10th PM Anwar Ibrahim.
